To Your Health is a woman-owned and operated small business in a rural setting in Alabama. We offer freshly milled flours from organic sprouted grains. The sprouting, drying, and milling processes are all done in-house.

We are committed to the provision of healthy, nutritious, easily digestible, sprouted grains, legumes, and flours. Our products are organic, sustainable, non-GMO, regulated, and rated superior by AIB, tested and proven to contain all the benefits of the time-honored tradition of properly prepared grains for consumption by sprouting. We will never compromise the quality of our products. We will strive to continue to educate our customers on how sprouted grains play an important role as part of a balanced, nutrient-rich, traditional diet.

How it all began..

About 20 years ago I decided it was time to take better care of myself and my family. I developed a passion for hacking through the jungle of “nutrition” information trying to discover the truth about the proper relationship to food and proper preparation of foods for the maximum benefit to our bodies. The more complicated the research, the simpler the answer became: Eat a variety of all foods God made available to us in as pure form and properly prepared as possible.

Armed with this wonderful information, I began counseling friends and groups wanting to make positive lifestyle changes as well. When I talked about the fabulous benefits of sprouted grains, the time-honored tradition of how our ancestors would harvest grains that had naturally sprouted in the fields and a modern way to sprout at home, the response was always “Can’t you just do it for me?” So I did. And that’s how To Your Health came to be. To Your Health began in my kitchen, quickly moved to a small commercial kitchen, and now encompasses a 44,000 square feet food manufacturing facility. I employ 25 team members. Our weekly production is 70,000 pounds of sprouted certified organic grains, seeds, legumes, nuts and flours. Sixty percent of our business is bulk (as ingredients going into sprouted products), 20% is internet sales, and 20% is wholesale and co-man sales.

To Your Health’s sprouting process is automated with machinery specially designed for our application.

We have engineered our own proprietary method of drying the sprouted grains to retain all the vitamins, minerals, and enzymes produced during sprouting.

And even with all the new developments we haven’t lost sight of our individual customers.

To Your Health is a woman-owned business in a rural HUB zone. It is built from the ground up by hands-on experience and research to create quality products with very high standards of production and food safety. Although TYH may be a little out of the way, the world is beating a pathway to our door.

“No matter how hectic it gets around the office I’m always brought back to why I love doing what I do when customers share their positive experiences,” says Peggy Sutton, Founder and President. “From folks being able to enjoy bread again after years of digestive issues, to improvement in an autistic child’s behavior that wouldn’t have been realized with un-sprouted grains, I love sprouting good health into the lives of our customers.”

How long have you been in business and how did you get interested in sprouted grains?

I’ve been sprouting seeds for 30 years, but To Your Health is celebrating its 18th anniversary this year as a business. From my kitchen in 2005 to a 44,000 sq. ft. modern food manufacturing facility today, our 25 team members can produce 70,000 lbs. of sprouted certified organic grains, seeds, legumes, and nuts weekly.

What are your best selling products?

The spectrum of popular products has switched from gluten-containing grains to gluten-free. Our dedicated gluten-free facility produces about 85% of all the products we make at To Your Health. The most popular ones include quinoa, brown rice, oats, and popcorn. Our bread making customers prefer sprouted white wheat, spelt, and einkorn flours.
